Answer Yes we asked for a Verizon phone and that was what we recieved
Answer We appreciate your interest in the G enV Touch VX11000 Factory Refurbished Verizon Phone (Black). Each phone is equipped with an ESN or MEID number that is used for activation.
Answer I have used the MEIN number from it. That one worked with Verizon to activate it. It is on the sticker under the battery, of course.

Does this phone require internet?

Answer This phone does require a data plan. I would suggest contacting Verizon directly regarding data packages because there may be an option that allows you to utilize the phone without the data plan.

Answer The phone does not require a data package of any sort. However, they will automatically tack one on at the store, so you need to specifically ask for it to be taken off / not put on at all.

Answer If you try to activate it from the phone or the website, Verizon will try to charge you $10 for a dataplan. Call them directly to activate and remind them you don't want internet. It will work without it!!! Don't let them tell you it won't!

Answer This is not a prepaid phone. I had an env3 on a family plan that was not functioning properly so I bought the env touch, took both phones to a Verizon store and they updated the env touch to ver. 11 (from a ver. 3 I believe) and added my contacts to the new phone and I left the store at no charge. I did not have to renew my contract either. I love the phone so much that I bought another for a back up incase I lose my phone. I've had no problem at all with the phone.

Answer No, The LG enV Touch VX11000 does not require a data plan. Just turn it on and dial *288 send to activate. If the activation fails, call Verzion, the system may see the phone as a data phone rejecting your request. The VZ rep will rectify that and have you up and running in minutes. Great Phone - no problems.
Answer Verizon attempted to require their min data package ($10). But the phone DOES work without it. We've been longtime customers and they finally allowed us to activate the phone. Just make sure to emphasize that it's not a smart phone and you do not want to get online. Worked for us...
