Did the USB cord that came with the charger actually charge your iPhone or iPod? Or did you have to use an Apple USB cord.

Answer  Lynn, The USB cord that came with the Premium Dual Port USB charger charged my Apple iphone 4 correctly without any problems whatsoever. In fact, I rec'd a bonus with this charger. Since it was a dual port charger, it converted my power outlet in my auto into providing two USB ports instead of only one like most chargers. This way, I'm able to charge not only my phone but my wife's phone also at the same time. In using only one power outlet in my auto, I now have a spare outlet that came with my auto and I can use it for another device meaning that I can have three devices charging at the same time. The dual port is wonderful and I recommend it to anyone. I would certainly buy another one in the future if this one quits working. Glad to answer your question. Louis
