1.)
How does the top cover flap, which holds the phone in the pouch, latch/hook to the case? Magnetic or velcro or snap? Also, is there a loop for a belt to attach to the pouch along with the clip?

Answer  Top cover flap uses Velcro and works well, there is a loop that the metal clip is riveted to that works great as a belt loop if you remove the metal clip first. I used a dermal tool with a cut off wheel to remove mine. This is a great case, I just don't like metal clips. I would buy it again if I needed another.
