Answer I appreciate your interest in the Universal Window Mount Cell Phone/PDA/GPS Holder . This window mount does not expand large enough to accommodate a cell phone and Seido Case. I have included a link to similar car window mounts to better assist you:

on the picture the phone is in the upright position, now my question is, can the phone holder turn sideways?

Answer It is completely customizable to your specific configurations. You can turn it sideways, up, down, left, right in any viewable configuration.
Answer I got this product and, yes, the phone holder rotates so it can be mounted sideways. Pretty happy with this purchase.
Answer yes it can. It can turn in any position that is convenient for you.
Answer Yes, the phone can be turned sideways. There are 2 points you can adjust it, at the base where it is attached to the suction cup you can adjust it in one direction, then the arm that comes off of that adjusts further up near where the phone is. The second part adjusts left and right. The actual part that holds the phone pivots at 360 degrees and you tighten a knob when you get that in the position you want it, allowing you to hold it in either normal or landscape mode. It has little feet at one end that come out, so you typically want that part on the bottom or whichever direction your charger is pulling, so that it doesn't fall out. Overall it is a very good mount.
Answer Yes, it can.. : )
Answer yes it can be turned sideways their is a white adjustment
knob behind the holder you can not see it because the phone
is blocking the view of it.
Answer Yes it can be turned vertically and horizontally.
Bought this on 6/6/2012. It is being returned.
My cell phone is a Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch. The device cannot firmly hold the phone in position. There is too much "play", ie the mounted phone wobbles. This is a serious issue for me as I drive a Jeep Wrangler which is a car body on a truck frame - every bump in the road causes the device to really bounce around, if it stays suctioned to the window!
Plus, the side arms contacts the phone's volume down button so I have press the volume up button each time I mount the phone into the device.
Also, the adjustment lock knobs are not easy to reach and use once the device is suctioned to the window. After trying to adjust while on the window, I found it easier to remove it from the window, guesstimate the needed adjustment and reattach to the window. Repeated until it was right, and the first mild road bump caused the suction to break, luckily I caught the phone!
Build quality is at the low end. All plastic and the adjust knobs use plastic gripping teeth to lock into position. Turn too hard and you run the risk of stripping teeth which further weakens the already poor ability to lock in a position.
Unless you have a light weight phone save your money and time; look for a sturdy holder, like one designed for a GPS which is well-built, has easy-adjust knobs and strong suction.
Reply Did you use the little locking lever to lock the suction cup in place? I've not had any issues at all with it losing suction, though I don't take our SUV off-road.
Answer The holder swivels so you can put the phone in any position then tighten the bolt on the back. Just don't tighten it too much. I just broke mine this week from over tightening it.
Answer No,Just up or down
Answer My phone(HTC amaze) fits in both portrait and landscape orientation, but yes it rotates
