HTC EVO owners are having alot of problems with off brand usb cables not working with computers. They all seem to work fine to charge but the computer will not recognize the phone. Are these cables guaranteed to work with the HTC EVO????

Answer  I bought mine months ago, and it works just fine when you select "Use as disk drive" on your EVO. If you click "charge only" on the device, then the PC has no reason to detect it.

Answer  Well, my charger has a usb slot, so when I lost the detachable cable I bought this one to replace it. So in a sense, yes it does charge. I haven't tested it on the computer to see if it'll charge by the computer, but I'd be surprised if it didn't.
