The case fits a Motorola RAZR V3M snugly. The outer shell is predominantly nylon. Very rugged construction. Breaking the metal belt clip would be difficult under normal use. There's also a belt loop, actually 2 belt loops, both directly behind the metal clip. You could wear the case horizontally or vertically, the latter would require a very narrow belt. The interior is lined with a soft material (possibly neoprene?) but the lining is only present on the side facing the clip. The other side isn't exactly rough but you see and feel the stitching. All things considered, I'm extremely pleased with this case. It's a good utility case for a commercial environment where nice leather case would get beaten up. You can probably get mud all over it, throw it in the washer and it would be back to normal.

Answer  None of our vertical pouches have belt loops. You have a better chance of finding a pouch with belt loops by looking at horizontal pouches.

How does the flap that covers the phone attach to the case? Velcro, magnet, snap or other? Thanks!

this pouch DOES have a place for a belt to go under the metal clip (a strap). It is very durable we bought 3 for use on a railroad, where the phones would get ruined without. Don't go by the exact measurements that it shows, they will hold a bigger phone. Lots of extra room for a taller phone in the velcro cover.
