Answer The flap is magnetic. Easy to open but strong enough to stay closed when it is closed. I've never had it open accidentally and I've been using it daily since I purchased it.

Are the sides of the case solid leather?

Answer The case is all leather including sides. I'm very satisfied with how the case fits with the phone.

Answer The sides of the case appear to be MOSTLY leather, with a thin layer of a soft cloth attached to the inside of it to protect the phone's finish, and this is identical to the rest of the interior. The hoslter cilp on the back of the case has an additional stiffening layer for the clip, and the front of the case has a ferrous metal plate in it to act as something for the magnet on the flip open part of the case to grab onto. If you are asking if this case is crush proof, the answer is no. If you step on it with the phone inside, it will break the phone. I have bumped into numerous obstacles with my phone hip, however, and the phone is still fine, so the reinforcement on the front side and the flap do help to protect the phone.

Answer My phone fits very well in this case.

Answer Both my husband's new Breeze and my older Breeze fit easily into the case: however, my husband had purchased a protective cover for his Breeze and the phone would not fit in the case with the protective cover so we exchanged the Breeze pouch for a matrix pro 820 pouch which was very similar but just enough larger to fit the Breeze with its protective cover. Hope this helps. We really like the leather pouch.
