I bought another brand of extended battery for my Blackberry 8530 Curve but it would not work. The battery would power the phone up long enough to read a "code" then display a symbol of a battery with an X in the middle. The original ones works okay. From what I have read on the internet the battery requires "code duplication" because my OEM battery has a lock on it. Does this battery come with the proper code or will I have the same problem?

Answer THe Batter and the cover worked fine right out of the box. There was a definite difference in the battery life - much longer.

Answer I ordered the extended battery for my Blackberry 8530 Curve from Wireless Emporium and am very happy with the performance. It has a long battery lifeand we definately recommend it!! There's only one problem.............I cannot find a case to fit since the battery increases the size of the phone. Battery is great though:)

Answer I bought this battery and cover back in nov of this year. It has worked very well for me,even when i use it to bluetooth with my tablet. I think ive charged it once a week or a little longer even...Its a outstanding battery for the cost. And i had no problem with any code,it just goes right in..

Answer My OEM battery wouldn't last 5 minutes between charge. I bought this battery, installed it in my BB Curve 8530, and it worked great with no programing or code required. I haven't had any problem using the battery and it lasts a long time between charge. I hope this helps.

Answer I am not familar with code my blackberry Curve 8350 didn't require a code, but mine worked great I have had no problems, I wish that answer was more helpful you good luck!
