Answer  Yes it will. We have 2, one in each vehicle, and use them for charging our i-Phone 5's. They work fine for any USB devise. Use the charging cord that came with the phone minus the AC to USB adapter (USB end plugged directly in to the charger).

CHECK THE AMPS (mAh's) your devices need, as you don't want to plug in a 500 mAH rated device into the 2.1 rated (Optimized) port, at least not for long. You "CANNOT" plug in a IPAD and something else close to 1000mAh the IPAD will say "Not Charging". Great Price so I am now using this in combo with another device that changes your single vehicle power port into 2 and also has 2 USB ports. With a little work to mount it neatly plenty of ports for everything. Bottom Line; It will work for IPHONE 5 but amps rated in ad (3.1) are more like 2.5. but usable and pricing is very good. Also made well..........
