The Motorola Droid X is 5.02 inches long and 2.57 inches wide. And despite its large appearance, the device is only 0.39 inch thick with a camera hump that is 0.60 inch thick. Its soft-coated metal construction is solid and feels like it can withstand a beating. The phones weight is balanced throughout the entire device, so it does not feel top heavy or bottom heavy.

There are four physical buttons located under the display for Menu, Home, Back, and Search commands. The buttons are not super sensitive like original Droid model. So you will not have to worry about pressing the buttons by mistake. The left side of the device houses the microUSB port and micro HDMI video connector. The power/lock button and 3.5mm headset jack are located on the top of the device. The right side is devoted to the volume rocker and camera button. And the back holds the external speaker, 8 megapixel camera, battery compartment and microSDHC memory card slot.

The Motorola Droid X sports a large 4.3 inch TFT WVGA display with a 480 x 854 pixels resolution and a 228 ppi pixel density. Our Motorola Droid X accessories and screen protectors are an excellent way to protect the beautiful display from surface damages.

The Motorola Droid X comes to you with Android 2.1, but can be updated. The Droid X has 7 home screens that you can navigate through by simply sliding your finger across the screen to the left or right. You can jump to farther home screens using icons on the bottom of the display. As far as widgets are concerned, the Droid X has better social networking integration and messaging than previous Motorola devices such as the Devour.

Contacts are organized alphabetically in one list. These includes all of the contacts from your Google and Facebook accounts. You have the ability to create and group contacts to your liking. Selecting a contact brings up their phone numbers, email address, and latest Facebook updates. The stock calendar syncs with your Google account, and a voice command program has been added for your calling convenience.

Social Media

The My Accounts home screen allows you to add icons for your email accounts and social media accounts. The Messaging app will display all of your accounts once they have been set up. A Social Networking widget delivers a feed of status updates from your friends, and you can use the Social Status widget to quickly update your own status.

The onscreen QWERY keyboard is a breeze thanks to the large 4.3" display. The keyboard supports multi-touch, and a very accurate voice dictation tool. Simply speak your sentence into the microphone and the Droid X prepares your message for you.

The Motorola Droid X is a dual-band CDMA device featuring 3G EVDO Rev A and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. It supports Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.

The web browser is based on Webkit and pages appear bigger than the original Droid model thanks to the X's large screen. Multitouch is supported, allowing you to pinch zoom and double tap zoom. The browser is fast and supports flash.

The 8MP camera features an autofocus. But images can be manually focused by pressing the shutter button halfway. Photos outside in sunlight will turn out properly exposed with great color representation and accurate saturation. The Motorola Droid X camera is superior to previous models, and most photos will look pretty stunning whether you are outdoors or indoors.

Videos can be recorded at 24 frames per second with 1280x720 pixels. Five scene settings optimize video based on location. For example, the outdoors setting will reduce wind noise. Upon its release, the Droid X took better videos and images than any other Motorola model.

You can download and install apps from the Android Market. The Droid X was the first phone to feature Verizon's 3G Mobile hotspot app, which allows you to connect up to 5 devices via Wi-Fi

Call Quality

The Droid X has amazing call quality thanks to its noise canceling mic. Voices sound clear and natural without fuzzy static.

The 150mAh battery supports an impressive 9 hours and 30 minutes of talk time on a full charge.
