The Motorola Droid Mini is the third model in Motorola's 2013 smartphone lineup. It has the same guts of its older brother, the Droid Ultra, but its physical appearance is noticeably different. Although slightly thicker, the Mini is smaller overall. Most scaled-down versions of smartphones have inferior specs compared to their larger siblings. The Motorola Droid Mini is 4.77 inches long, 2.41 inches wide, and 0.35 inch thin. It weighs 4.59 oz and is constructed from Kevlar. Compared to the Droid Ultra, the Mini is slightly thicker but smaller overall. The only differences between the two devices are their physical constructions and displays. The Mini features a 4.3 inch LCD display in compact body, it may not be AMOLED but it has the same 720p resolution as the Ultra. The Mini's body features a glossy black finish that looks outstanding, but is prone to fingerprints.

- Active Notifications shows you news and updates even when the phone is turned off. Simply nudge the phone when it is on a flat surface to display notifications. Shaking the device when it is turned off will open the camera app immediately. This is great when you want to capture a moment that won't wait for you to turn your phone on.
The Mini is powered by a first-party dual-core 1.7GHz Motorola X8 processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 400MHz quad-core GPU. Performance is incredible, everything runs as smooth as silk.
The 10MP camera features an autofocus. And the camcorder can record videos in 1920 x 1080 resolution (1080p HD) at 60 fps
The 2000mAh battery may not be as beefy as the one found in the Droid Maxx, but it is still able to hold 13 days of standby time.
