Cell phone covers and phone faceplate guide
Cell phone accessories have come a long way. From memory cards, cell phone chargers to a rainbow of different options for your cell phone battery, everything and anything cell phone related has become lighter, more durable and just plain better looking.
Cell phone covers and
phone faceplates are no exception.
Whether it's a matter of design, demand or innovation; finding the perfect protector that shields your device from cracked screens can be a simple matter of slipping on a piece of silicone, or putting on multi-layered armor for your electronic device.
Q. Silicone, TPU, Rubberized, Skins, Guards? What is all this? A. Simple put, they are the different materials phone face plates and phone covers are made of. All materials work well in giving your phone the form-fitting protection it needs, but depending on your needs and budget, one type can be better than the other.
Silicone Cases: Precision-molded to fit your phone like a glove, this squishy material is a quick, inexpensive way to give your phone protection from small bumps and scratches. It is by far the lowest-priced protection option, without sacrificing the look of your device. One the best things about Silicone cases is simple that they are hassle-free. There's no need to worry about having to carefully remove any silicone case. They slip on and off like gloves.
TPU Candy Cases: TPU Cases (or "Candy" cases) are a new type of jelly case that rivals Silicone. Slightly more expensive, these cases are a bit stiffer than traditional silicone. Offering slightly better protection, TPU cases are smooth and less-sticky than normal silicone, making them cleaner and easier to handle--no need to worry about your case sticking to your pocket lining or gathering lint. Just like silicone cases, TPU are precision-made to your device and allow for easy access: Simple slip-on or slip-off like a sock or glove.
Cell phone Faceplates & covers: Whether you're looking for great overall protection or a simple set-it and forget-it solution, our selection of normal cell phone covers are a great choice. Made with slightly-flexible and always-durable industrial-grade plastic material, these cases are the perfect mix of function and design. With thousands of artist-made designs, these cases will give you great coverage. Usually normal phone covers come in two pieces that easily lock-around your phone. Once-locked, these phone cases are secure, and won't come off unless it's to absorb an inordinate amount of shock.
Rubberized phone faceplates & phone covers: Rubberized are the mix of both worlds, combining silicone-like softness on the outside, while providing form-protecting hard plastic protection on the inside. Similar to our normal mobile phone covers, rubberized covers come in a variety of colors and designs. An overall great choice.
Cell Phone Skins & Phone Guards: Rather than cases, these products are more focused on form & fashion. Made to give you the ultimate customized look for your device, phone skins are generally made of a vibrant & durable 3M Vinyl Material. Though skins over some nominal protection, they are not a full-service solution like other cases. Phone guards are made with the same military-grade protective material used on helicopter blades. Offer's great protection from the elements and some scratching, but will not protect the insides of your device from the shocks of a drop or fall.
Q. What if I need to access something on my phone? Will I be able to with a cell phone cover? A. Absolutely. All our cell phone cases and cell phone faceplates are custom-made to fit your phone or mobile device. All your ports and phone features are thus easily accessible. When it comes to getting at the back of your phone, however, certain cases may be easier to uninstall than others. Silicone, TPU & phone skins, for example, can be a simple matter of quick removal to access. Phone faceplates that snap-on may be a bit more difficult and require caution as the hooks may break. We suggest using a credit card to loosen before attempting to take apart.
Q. Do I need a Ballistic case? A. That all depends on your needs. Ballistic & high-endurance phone cases are the best insurance against everything and anything that can go wrong with your phone, but come with a trade-off: They add quite a bit of bulk to your device. For the most part, we believe not everyone needs a ballistic case or otter box, but it definitely doesn't hurt to have one, if you can handle the extra weight and space your device might take up.
