You know how sometimes it just takes too long to creep on your friend’s pictures on Facebook? Well, Bing is now streamlining that process for you.
Earlier today, Microsoft officially launched a new feature that allows users to quickly search and find specific pictures from their Facebook friends’ photo albums. The feature, called Friends’ Photo, utilizes Bing’s search engine capabilities which allows users to maintain the Facebook experience while still remaining on the Bing interface.
I personally tested out this new feature and have to say that it’s pretty neat. Granted, some of the search results came back with pictures from earlier Facebook users (no one needs to be reminded of their freshman year…) but overall, the experience was quite smooth. It would be interesting to see if Bing would be able to emulate Facebook’s algorithim and somehow rank search results, prioritizing images from friends whose page we visit often and connect with most frequently.
Test it out for yourself here and tell us what you think!
